Jean-Claude Labbé elected chairman of YQB’s Board of Directors

Québec City, February 28, 2019 – During its meeting on February 28, 2019, the Board of Directors unanimously nominated Jean-Claude Labbé as their next chairman. An administrator since 2011, Mr. Labbé served as vice-chairman until his nomination. He will be succeeding André Fortin, who was chairman for seven years.

Gaëtan Gagné, President and CEO of Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB), wrote a foreword for the book, alongside his counterparts at Denver and Amsterdam airports, to name a few.

Québec City, February 11, 2019 – 2018 ended on a high note for Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB). The airport welcomed 1,774,871 passengers, a 6.2% increase over the previous year.

YQB’s good governance once again recognized by Transport Canada

Québec City, February 8, 2019 – This week, Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) once again received confirmation of its sound management and good governance through Transport Canada’s annual audit of its activities. Each year, YQB prepares an exhaustive accountability report for Transport Canada as part of the department’s lease monitoring program. And each time over the past ten years, the airport has been satisfactory in meeting its obligations. 

Note that the federal agency is the only authority able to qualify and audit YQB’s governance.
