As of October 1, 2022, travellers will no longer be required to wear a mask during their flight and at the airport, or provide information through ArriveCAN. In addition, border requirements, including vaccination, testing, quarantine and isolation, will be waived for all travellers entering Canada.

June 23, 2022 - Wearing a mask is no longer mandatory in the public interior spaces of the terminal.
However, Transport Canada maintains the mask requirement for all regulatory processes, which includes:
- Security checkpoints for passengers and non-passengers (CNP and CNPV);
- Boarding;
- The flight;
- The customs area.
Wearing a mask remains an effective measure to limit the spread of COVID-19. It is therefore everyone's responsibility to choose whether or not to wear it.

Québec City, Oct. 21, 2021 - Air Canada is pleased to announce today two new seasonal services departing from Jean Lesage International Airport in Quebec City: Vancouver and Calgary. Flights to Vancouver will start on May 20, 2022, with up to three flights a week and service to Calgary will debut on May 21, 2022, offering up to four weekly flights. These new routes will be operated by Air Canada Rouge on an Airbus A319, featuring Premium Rouge and Economy services, product enhancements including upgraded streaming entertainment and options to purchase high-speed wi-fi.

TORONTO, Aug. 30, 2021 -- Sunwing has announced it will be offering convenient weekly flights to ten different sun destinations this winter from Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, right in time for the holidays. Starting August 9, 2021 (12:01 A.M. EDT), Canada plans to begin allowing entry to American citizens and permanent residents, who are currently residing in the United States, and have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entering Canada for non-essential travel.

January 6, 2021 - New pre-departure COVID-19 testing requirements come into effect for all air travellers flying into Canada
Effective midnight on January 7, 2021 (00:00 EST or 05:00 UCT), the Government of Canada requires all travellers five years of age or older, regardless of citizenship, provide proof of a negative laboratory test result for COVID-19 to the airline prior to boarding a flight to Canada.
Starting September 23, 2020 at 8 a.m., the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) will begin its activities of temperature screenings of passengers and employees at its screening checkpoints at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB).
UPDATE: The new parking rates will come into effect on September 23, 2020. All parking lots can be accessed free of charge until September 22, 2020.

This exercise allowed YQB and its partners to test their emergency procedures and learn from the interaction between the security partners involved in the exercise. Québec, April 10, 2018 – WestJet Airlines has confirmed that it will be offering a new direct route between Québec City Jean-Lesage International Airport (YQB) and Calgary International Airport (YYC) from June 29 to October 26, 2018.
WestJet will fly direct four times a week to Calgary International Airport (YYC) from June 29 to September 8, and three flights a week thereafter until October 26, 2018.

Québec City, February 15, 2018 – Air Canada has confirmed that its subsidiary Rouge will take over service between Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). The current fleet of 74-seat Bombardier Q-400s will be replaced by 136-seat Airbus 319 and 200-seat Airbus 321 jets. Rouge will operate five daily flights to Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Québec City, June 18, 2016. – Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) has had to carry out runway repairs to ensure the safety of all passengers. The runway intersection repairs were completed during the night of Friday to Saturday, and the main runway became fully operational on Saturday, June 18, 2016, a day before the original deadline. Québec City, March 10, 2016 – Aéroport de Québec inc. (AQi) welcomes the agreement announced today between the Canadian and U.S. governments for the construction of a U.S. preclearance center at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB), after 15 years of determined efforts.
The new facility will change the face of YQB by considerably reducing connection times to the U.S. while at the same time driving economic development in the Greater Québec City Area and the surrounding regions.
Québec, March 4, 2016 – To ensure the safety of all passengers, Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) will carry out runway repairs from June 6 to 18, 2016.
The airport will remain open and operational for airlines and passengers during the repairs.
Larger aircraft, however, will not be able to operate during this period since runway lengths will be restricted. In some cases, airlines may use a different type of aircraft.

The new funds will be allocated to capital expenditures over the following years, more particularly to finance the international arrivals sector at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport.
Québec City, May 28, 2015 – To make sure the population of Québec City was supportive before installing a U.S. Customs preclearance facility at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, Aéroport de Québec inc. (AQi) hired SOM, a survey firm, to measure the degree of local support for the project. The online survey, conducted May 13 to 21, 2015, makes it clear that Québec City residents are overwhelmingly in favor of the preclearance facility: nearly all respondents (95%) had either a highly favorable (62%) or a somewhat favorable (33%) opinion of the project.

The number of direct flights to sunshine destinations will increase by 25% and reach a new high. Carriers Air Transat and Sunwing will operate up to eight direct flights to Mexico and the Caribbean per week, with five destinations—Cancun, Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria, Punta Cana, and Varadero—available 52 weeks a year.
