If you are delivering cargo, follow the signs to the terminal building, then drive along the building. At the end of the building, turn right and you will see the loading dock (see on map).  

 

Yes, you can watch planes taking off and landing from inside the terminal. The layout gives passengers in the secure area a great view of the runways.

Smoking is not permitted inside the terminal building; you must smoke outside at least nine metres from all doors. 

There are two outdoor smoking areas (see on map). You will need to exit the secure area to access them. Please give yourself enough time to go back through the checkpoint before your flight.  

 

Yes, there is an outdoor pet relief area near the domestic arrivals exit. 

There is also an indoor pet relief area after security, near gate 29 (see on map). 

Yes, pets are allowed in the terminal if they are in a carrier or on a leash. 

The two parking areas have a total of 20 spaces reserved for holders of parking permits for persons with reduced mobility. However, you cannot reserve specific spaces. 

The handicapped parking spaces are located near the entrances to the buildings that lead to the terminal. They are also close to ramps and elevators. For your comfort, a heated walkway connects the parking garage to the terminal on level 2. 

Yes, service animals are allowed in the terminal if they are leashed. 

Yes, wheelchairs are available in the terminal. You can request one from your airline when checking in.

The Québec City airport operates 365 days a year so that planes can take off and land 24 hours a day. 

The Québec City airport is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

If you have forgotten an item in a taxi on the way to or from the airport, please contact the taxi company directly. The company name and vehicle number should be printed on your receipt.  

If you have forgotten an item on a bus, please contact the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) by filling out the Lost and Found form on their website. 

If you have forgotten an item on a plane, please contact your airline directly. 

If you have lost an item at the airport, please fill out our information request form. In the comment box, provide as much useful information as possible about the item and where and when it was lost. This will help us locate your item. 

Once we receive your form, we will check whether the information you provided matches a found item. If so, we will phone you.

Follow these tips before you cross the Canadian border: 

1. Before you arrive in Canada, you can download the ArriveCAN app and submit your customs and immigration declaration within 72 hours of your arrival in Canada. Once you have provided your declaration, a receipt will be displayed and emailed to you. 

At Québec City airport, you will have to scan your passport at the kiosk to retrieve your declaration before finalizing the process. You will receive a printed receipt from the kiosk which you will need to show a Border Services Officer. 

Using the functionality, via the ArriveCAN mobile application, for customs and immigration declaration is optional but simplifies the procedures for entering Canada.For more information about the ArriveCAN app, please visit the Use ArriveCAN for a faster border experience page of the Government of Canada website.

2. You can use the Canada Border Services Agency’s border reminder checklist to make sure you aren’t forgetting anything.  

The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) security checkpoint is located on level 2 of the terminal building. It can be accessed by stairs and an escalator near the information desk (see on map). 

There are several restaurants and the V.I.P Lounge by Club Med after security. The Brûlerie Rousseau by Nourcy counter is located before  the security checkpoint, on the 2nd floor of the terminal.

This free waiting area for drivers is located at the intersection of 6th rue de l’Aéroport and Rue Principale. The entrance to the CellPARQ is on 6th rue de l'Aéroport (see on map).  

The Uber and Eva pick-up area is outside the domestic arrivals area (see on map).

The car rental offices are located on the first floor of the building across from the terminal (see on map). You can reach them from the footbridge between the terminal and the building. 

Yes, the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) serves Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB).  

There is an RTC ticket machine near the Relay store (see on map) where you can buy tickets and one-day passes.

The taxi pick-up area is located at the end of the terminal building in the international arrivals area (see on map).

The Multi-Level Parking has 5 floors. Its sides are not weatherproof and the 5th floor is open air. It is NOT possible to prepay for a specific floor. First come, first served

No. We do not have coupons for parking.

You may change your exit date up to two (2) hours before you are scheduled to arrive at the parking lot. To change your exit date, click on the “Change or cancel my prepayment” button at the top of the prepayment system homepage.

You cannot change your exit date within two (2) hours of the arrival time you selected when you prepaid, NOR once your vehicle is in the parking lot. If you exceed your prepaid parking time, you will be charged the difference upon arrival at the parking exit.

No. Both parking lots have spaces provided for this purpose. However, you cannot specifically prepay for these spaces. They are offered on a first come, first served basis.

If you do not have your prepayment confirmation with the QR code, click on the “Change or cancel my prepayment” button at the top of the prepayment system homepage.

No. Your QR code is only valid for one (1) entry and one (1) exit from the car park.

You can PREPAY using a VisaMastercard or American Express. More details are provided during the prepayment process.

IF YOU DO NOT PREPAY, you will pay for your parking at one of the pay stations located in the terminal using a VisaMastercardAmerican Express, or debit card.

Cash is NOT accepted.

You may change your license plate number up to two (2) hours before you are scheduled to arrive at the parking lot. Click on the “Change or cancel my prepayment” button at the top of the prepayment system homepage.

Yes. If your vehicle is parked outside of the days or hours you have prepaid for, you will be charged for the additional time at the applicable rate for your parking lot when you arrive at the exit terminal. You can arrive up to six (6) hours early. The additional time will be charged when you arrive at the exit terminal.

Depending on whether you selected outdoor or multi-level parking when you prepaid, enter the appropriate parking lot using one of the identified pay terminals. Once you have entered the parking lot, use a parking space that is not:

  • A reserved space
  • A space where signage prohibits parking for a specific period of time (e.g. for snow removal purposes)

Do not use more than one parking space for your vehicle.

If you plan to park in one of our parking lots and want to prepay online, follow the online prepayment process.

Our parking lots are currently very busyIF our prepayment system indicates that our lots are sold out following your search, please choose one of the options below:

  • In both of our parking lots, we have a few additional parking spaces that are not available for prepayment. To maximize your chances of getting one, arrive early. These remaining spaces can NOT be reserved. First come, first served.
  • Use alternative transportation: taxilimousine servicepublic transportationride sharing (e.g. Uber), etc.
  • Ask a friend or family member to drop you off in front of the terminal and to use our CellPARQ when you return

Aéroport de Québec Inc. does not have direct agreements with credit cards. It is the credit card issuers who make agreements, for some of their cards, with private access programs to lounges around the world. These agreements result in privileges for the holders of certain credit cards. On the official website specific to your credit card, you will find information about your privileges and, if it is written that you have access to the V.I.P Lounge by Club Med at the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB), what is the procedure to follow.

The V.I.P Lounge by Club Med is the only lounge at Québec City's Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB). Its name, décor and food offering have changed for its reopening in December 2021.

No. All food, alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages must be consumed in the lounge. Customers may not leave the lounge with any items. Consumption in the lounge ONLY.

Nourcy, our food and beverage partner (who also manages the Brûlerie Rousseau par Nourcy at the Québec City Jean-Lesage International Airport), offers a light menu that changes with the seasons as well as snacks. Hot and cold beverages as well as a selection of wines, beers and spirits are also included with the cost of admission to the lounge. ALL products offered must be consumed in the lounge.

Access to the V.I.P Lounge by Club Med is computerized since January 2022. To enter, passengers must present a valid QR code. Vouchers and voucher books purchased until March 2020 do not have QR codes.

Accesses purchased on our website are refundable up to TWO HOURS BEFORE your scheduled arrival date and time at the lounge (this information is written in the confirmation email). Upon arrival at the V.I.P Lounge by Club Med, you will find two gates. On these gates, you will see a screen that will show you the steps to follow to enter the lounge.

Make sure you have your boarding pass for a flight departing from Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) on the day of your visit, AS WELL AS your valid QR code or access document if you are a member of a program or a holder of one of the cards mentioned above.

If your American Express Card is listed above but you haven't yet enrolled for a Priority Pass membership, please call Customer Service at 1-866-257-0878 in order to request enrollment.

Do you have a VISA or MASTERCARD credit card with Lounge Key?

Several Canadian financial institutions have ended their partnership with Lounge Key in the spring and summer of 2022. Before entering the lounge, contact your financial institution to confirm which application to download as your provider may no longer be Lounge Key.

Your physical Diners Club card does not grant you entry to the lounge. However, all you have to do is download and activate the Priority Pass application. Priority Pass is part of your credit card privileges.

When you arrive at the lounge, open the Priority Pass application and present the QR code to the digital reader. A screen will show you the steps to follow.

Do you have a VISA or MASTERCARD credit card with Priority Pass?

Have you booked a package from the Luxury Collection? Consult the voucher that Transat has sent you by e-mail. The voucher is part of a PDF document containing information about your trip. It contains instructions for free access to the lounge.

Some Air France passengers have complimentary access to the lounge. These passengers will receive a QR code when they check in at the Air France counter at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB). Upon arrival at the lounge, they will have to present this QR code AND an Air France boarding pass for a departure from YQB the same day. These are the types of passengers:

  • Ultimate Members: you and one guest have complimentary access to the lounge.
  • Flying Blue Platinum or Gold Members: you and one guest have complimentary access to the lounge.
  • SkyTeam Elite Plus Members: you and one guest have complimentary access to the lounge.

If you are an Air France passenger who does not qualify for complimentary access, you can purchase an access at an Air France discounted fare at a transactional kiosk located directly in front of the lounge.

On the day of their flight, ALL passengers with a boarding pass for a flight departing from Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB).

No, there is no U.S. customs pre-clearance centre at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB). Only the Canada Border Services Agency operates there. 

If items are rejected at the checkpoint, you have three options: 

  1. If you have a vehicle in the parking lot, take your items there and leave them in your vehicle. 

  1. Contact a friend or family member to pick up the items before you pass through the checkpoint. 

  1. Leave the items at the checkpoint. The agents will dispose of them appropriately.

Make sure you have your boarding pass. You may need to show photo identification as well.

The information it contains is valid for all security checkpoints in Canadian airports. 

The time it takes to pass through the security checkpoint varies depending on how busy the airport is.

The approximate wait time at the checkpoint is shown on our homepage, on the screen above the stairs leading to the security checkpoint, and on the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) website.  

We recommend that you go through the checkpoint as soon as you have checked in for your flight. Once you have gone through security, you will be able to enjoy all the stores, restaurants and entertainment the airport has to offer. 

Depending on the type of aircraft, boarding for your flight will begin 30 to 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time. 

The approximate wait time at the checkpoint is shown on our homepage and on the screen above the stairs to the security checkpoint.

The Québec City airport offers free WiFi throughout the terminal. 

To access the airport’s high-speed Internet network: 

  • Connect to the network called “YQB Gratuit-Free.” 

  • Open your web browser and accept the terms and conditions. You do not need to enter a username or password.

Yes. However, the bag wrapping service is currently suspended indefinitely. 

The information desk is currently closed, but QR codes are posted throughout the terminal. Visitors can scan them for information.

Yes, there are two nursing rooms after security. One is near the washrooms across from gate 31 and the other is near gates 34 and 35.  

Yes, the Turbulence Zone is a play area for babies and young children. It is located after the security checkpoint, between gates 29 and 30.

Yes, you need to reserve your car wash.

Yes, there are three Scotiabank ATMs in the terminal (see on map). 

Before security, there is an ATM on the main floor near domestic arrivals and a second one on level 2, near the Origine café (by the door to the footbridge to the parking garage). 

After security, there is an ATM across from gate 29. 

 

No, parking reservations cannot be transferred to another person. 

As you exit the parking area, drive up to one of the exit terminals and place your QR code under the reader. Once the system has validated your QR code, the gate will open and you will be able to leave.

When you arrive at the parking lot, please place the QR code from your confirmation email under the reader. The gate will open to let you in.

Please follow the instructions on your confirmation email carefully. Your prepayment is only valid for the parking lot for which you have paid (multi-level OR outdoor parking).

Please note: you cannot bring more than 100 ml of liquids, gels, or aerosols through the security checkpoint. However, once you have passed through the checkpoint, you will be able to buy a drink or fill a water bottle, then bring it on the plane.

If you are picking up a passenger at the airport, you have two options: 

OPTION 1: Use the CellPARQ lot while waiting for the passenger 

This waiting area is free to use and allows you to remain comfortably in your vehicle while you wait. Please note that there is a 60-minute time limit for this lot. This helps keep traffic running smoothly in front of the terminal. 

Once your companion phones or texts you to let you know they’re ready, you can meet them in front of the terminal by turning right on Principale Street and following the signs for Arrivals. You can wait in a space marked “Pick-up” to pick up your passenger. The columns in front of the terminal are also numbered for your convenience.
