Québec City, September 12, 2019. – This morning, the Grand Chief of the Huron-Wendat Nation, Mr. Konrad Sioui, and the President and CEO of the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB), Mr. Stéphane Poirier, officially inaugurated a brand new space in the international arrivals area of the Québec City airport. The space is inspired by the cultural wealth of the Huron-Wendat Nation.

New city bus routes to YQB : Greatly improved access to the airport site for passengers and employees

Québec City, August 28, 2019. –  The president and CEO of YQB, Stéphane Poirier, and the new executive director of the Québec City transit corporation, Alain Mercier, today officially opened the new bus routes and facilities operated by Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB).  

YQB expands its food offer - The Nourcy family to open its second Origine Café-Traiteur in fall 2019

Québec City, June 7, 2019 – Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) and Origine Café-Traiteur by Nicolas Nourcy are proud to announce the conclusion of an agreement to open a second concession at YQB in the fall of 2019. The business will be located in the public area of the airport and will include a restaurant, a bar and a takeout counter. 

Winter 2019–2020 - YQB enjoys more international flights to and from Québec City thanks to Air Transat

Québec City, June 6, 2019—Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) eagerly welcomes Air Transat’s decision to add more international flights to and from Québec City over the winter 2019–2020 period. The airline intends to offer more flights to Florida and Cuba and add more frequent flights between Québec City and Paris.

5KM YQB : A first in Québec: 1,200 participants expected to run YQB’s runway

Québec City, May 10, 2019 – On Saturday, August 24, 2019, Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) will be holding the first 5 KM YQB, where some 1,200 participants will have the chance to run the airport’s main runway. The 5 KM YQB is a unique opportunity for people in the Québec City area to see the airport from a different angle—one that’s normally not available to the public. This type of race has already proven successful at other Canadian airports, but this will be a first in Quebec. Avjet and Air Canada have partnered with the airport to sponsor the event.
