From Trappers to Entrepreneurs: 4 Centuries of Business in Québec City - Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport: part of Québec City's commercial and industrial history

01 nov

Québec City, November 1, 2017 – Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) is a proud partner of the exhibition From Trappers to Entrepreneurs: 4 Centuries of Business in Québec City at Musée de la civilisation, offering visitors the YQB Zone relaxation area.

The exhibition highlights the role of key local actors like YQB in promoting, developing, and defending the economic interests of Québec City and area. It also shows the importance of the city’s transportation infrastructure to its prosperity and economic development.

“We were extremely pleased and proud to accept Musée de la civilisation’s invitation to contribute to this exhibition that brilliantly illustrates Québec City’s commercial and industrial history,” said Gaëtan Gagné, president and CEO of Aéroport de Québec inc. “Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport is a driver of economic growth for our expanding region, so it made sense for us to be part of the project.”

Museum visitors are invited to take a break in the YQB Zone at the entrance to the exhibition. Set up like the airport’s waiting area, the YQB Zone lets visitors dream about their next business or leisure trip as they consult the live flight schedule and watch videos that tell the story of Québec City’s airport and the expansion of its new international terminal.
