Resolutely Looking to the Future: YQB Ends 2025 on a High with Growth, Strong Performance, and a Sense of Collective Pride
Québec City, May 7, 2026 — Driven by a clear vision and the exceptional mobilization of its teams and partners, Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) has closed 2025 with remarkable results. These include sustained growth in passenger numbers, a solid financial performance, and an assertive positioning as an engine of development for the region.
In 2025, YQB welcomed 1,819,553 passengers, surpassing pre-pandemic levels and marking a 4.7% (+81,500) increase on 2024. This growth is testament to the airport’s appeal and the effectiveness of the initiatives implemented to enhance its offerings and passenger experience.
Resolutely growing
Fiscal year 2025 is also notable for its robust financial results:
- Revenues of $101.1 million (+14.4% on 2024)
- EBITDA to $42.8 million, up from $34.6 million last year
- Net income of $8.8 million, up from $3.6 million in 2024
These results enable YQB to strengthen its investment capacity and support the implementation of high-impact projects as part of its 2025–2030 strategic plan.
As a not-for-profit organisation, YQB reinvests all financial surpluses in airport infrastructure, services, and development. This includes the redevelopment of the domestic flights arrivals area, which began in spring 2026.
2025 also marked the launch of an ambitious new strategic cycle aimed at reaching 2.4 million passengers by 2030 while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction (rated 9.1/10).
“Galvanized by our desire to propel ourselves forward, the exceptional engagement of our teams, the confidence of our partners, and the invaluable support of regional stakeholders, we have transformed 2025—a year characterised by ongoing uncertainties and lacking in prominence—into a true springboard for growth and substantial accomplishments. With 1.82 million passengers, robust financial performance, and an expanding range of flights and services, we are very proud of how far we have come and are determined to maintain our momentum,” said Stéphane Poirier, President and CEO.
Resolutely efficient
YQB also distinguished itself through:
- The roll-out of new air links (Dallas, Fort-de-France, Montego Bay), increased frequencies, and the announcement of new destinations for 2026
- Significant growth (10.4%) in cross-border traffic
- Investments in the passenger experience, including the introduction of two new concessions (Nourcy café traiteur and Spectrum) and the announcement of new services for summer 2026
- Innovation, with the introduction of a customized screening lane at the passenger security checkpoint
- Concrete progress in sustainable development, with a 53% reduction in GHG emissions compared to 2016
- Support for around forty community organizations
YQB has recently launched a campaign designed to showcase its unparalleled flight selection. In 2026, supply will be 15% higher than in 2025, with that percentage reaching nearly 25% over the summer season— a record increase among major Canadian airports, with an additional 376,456 seats (for a total of 2,965,889) available to local travellers and tourists choosing our destination.
“2025 was a milestone year for YQB, and 2026 promises to be just as exciting for our organization. As we embark on a new strategic cycle, we have resolutely chosen to reconcile growth and responsibility in a plan that promotes the development of air services and enhances the passenger experience, operational performance, community commitment, and sustainable development. This trajectory is based on solid foundations and an ambitious vision that will guide our development over the coming years. And we’ll achieve this surrounded by a remarkable team,” added André Boulanger, Chair of the Board of Directors.
