RTC bus route 6: Good news for passengers and employees at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport

13 mar

Québec City, March 13, 2018 – Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) is pleased to announce that the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) will establish a direct bus route between the airport and downtown Québec City in the spring of 2019.

"Route 6 is an excellent initiative by the RTC. It will meet the needs of our passengers and employees, offering an affordable new transportation option and improving access to the airport site," says Gaëtan Gagné, president and child executive of Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport. "The decision matches our guiding vision, Passenger First®, and will extend the quality of the airport experience off-site."

The airport will ensure the comfort of passengers waiting for a bus in the terminal building, and intends to work with the RTC to install a ticket-vending machine and provide suitable dynamic signage.

RTC bus route 6 will be in operation 7 days a week from morning to evening, with a frequency of around 30 minutes, facilitating the trips made by over 2,500 workers on the airport site and around 1.7 million passengers who use YQB each year.
