QUÉBEC CITY AIRPORT: PROUD PARTNER OF THE VIDÉOTRON QUÉBEC AIR SHOW
Québec City, May 11, 2010 – Aéroport de Québec is getting ready to host the 15th edition of the Videotron Québec Air Show—the biggest air show in Canada and one of the largest in North America. The event, which will take place June 11 to 13, promises to be a sensational treat for the legions of fans of unique aerial acrobatics and fireworks shows. Proud partner of this major festival, Aéroport de Québec will spotlight a number of airlines under a huge tent, including Air Canada, Air Transat, Westjet, Sunwing, and Porter Airlines, to give visitors an idea of the outstanding array of flights departing from Québec City.

For Aéroport de Québec, it is also a way of promoting our modern and efficient facilities, highlighting the 350 weekly direct flights, promoting the thousands of destinations available from members of the Star Alliance and Sky Team groups in nearly 200 countries, and offering visitors a taste of our renowned customer experience,” said President and CEO of Aéroport de Québec, Gaëtan Gagné.
Judging by the programming unveiled this morning by the organizers, the 2010 edition of this air show promises to delight visitors of all ages, who will be able to admire and tour numerous aircraft, including commercial planes serving the Jean Lesage International Airport. “Aéroport de Québec plans to lend its expertise to the coordination of this major show while promoting once again the “Passengers first” vision that inspires us by providing high quality service to passengers,” concluded Gagné.
Since November 1, 2000, Aéroport de Québec Inc. has overseen the management, operation, maintenance, and development of Jean Lesage International Airport. More than a dozen airlines operate out of the airport, servicing multiple destinations in North America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe through more than 50 daily direct flights to Eastern Canada and the United States’ biggest gateways, including Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, New York, Detroit, Cleveland, Washington and Chicago. An additional 45 chartered flights also depart the airport each week in winter, carrying passengers to sunshine destinations, as well as Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, and Nantes.
