Airside Driving License (AVOP)

AVOP stands for "Airside Vehicle Operator Permit," which is a permit to drive airside, issued by Aéroport de Québec inc. Only those with an operational need to drive airside can obtain it.

Prerequisites for obtaining an AVOP

  • Be the holder of a valid driver's license issued by a Canadian province, a U.S. state, or an international type;

  • Have completed and passed the online training of the Canadian Airport Security Awareness Program (CASAP) ;

  • Be the holder of an identity card for the regulated area of YQB;
    "D" and "D4" licenses: hold a valid radio competency certificate with the mention "Aeronautical."
