Central Mountain Air and Québec City Airport Mark Successful Transition to Main Terminal

Central Mountain Air (CMA) and Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) are celebrating the successful transition of CMA’s Québec City operations to the airport’s Main Terminal. 

CMA has served Québec City since launching its expanded Québec network in January 2026, initially operating from a fixed-base operator facility at YQB. On August 16, CMA moved its departures to the Main Terminal, marking the next stage in the airline’s established operations at the airport. 

 To recognize the first full month of Main Terminal operations, CMA and YQB hosted a passenger celebration on September 21, welcoming travellers and thanking them for their continued support. 

Operating from the Main Terminal provides CMA passengers with a more seamless and convenient airport experience, including access to the terminal’s facilities and passenger services before departure. 

“Operating from YQB’s Main Terminal is an important step in improving the experience we provide to our passengers,” said Doug McCrea, President of Central Mountain Air. “It provides travellers with better access to the airport’s facilities and services while giving CMA a stronger foundation from which to grow our Québec network. We are pleased to celebrate this milestone with YQB and, most importantly, with our passengers.”

  Throughout 2026, CMA has continued to expand its presence in Québec, improving regional connectivity between Montréal, Québec City and communities along the North Shore and Lower North Shore. CMA’s Québec network includes service to Baie-Comeau, Sept-Îles, Havre-Saint-Pierre, Port-Menier, Natashquan, La Romaine, Chevery, Saint-Augustin and Blanc-Sablon. 

The transition to the Main Terminal reflects CMA’s continued commitment to improving the passenger journey while providing convenient and accessible air service to communities throughout Québec.
