Nantes

Spanning some 20 km, the Voyage à Nantes invites visitors to walk around and discover the creations and heritage buildings along its route. In July and August, international artists and local makers fill the path and breathe new life into the city thanks to pop-up artwork that transforms the streets, sites and buildings into places for artistic expression.

Known as one of the most beautiful green spaces in the city, this vast botanical garden is proof of Nantes’s rich horticultural legacy and commitment to biodiversity. It’s home to a remarkable variety of vegetation, including prestigious collections of camellias and magnolias, as well as some rare and exotic species. Some of the plants are grown in elegant 19th century greenhouses.

Named new food destination champion by La Liste in 2025, Nantes is an excellent city for dining. To taste local specialties, nothing beats a visit to Marché de Talensan, the city’s oldest market. You’ll find tons of iconic products, from Nantais cake and Curé Nantais cheese to Guérande salt caramels. And you can’t leave without visiting Lieu Unique, an art exploration venue set up in the former LU cookie factory.

In the south and east of Nantes, the Muscadet vineyards are where you can taste fresh and mineral wines made from Melon de Bourgogne grapes. Whether in historic cellars or on patios in the middle of the grapevines, visitors can learn more about winemakers’ know-how and savour the unique flavour of this Nantais AOC.
