Chevery
Sculpted cliffs, roaring waterfalls and seabird sanctuaries
Set on the mainland facing the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Chevery is one of the youngest villages on the Lower North Shore, established in the 1950s when communities from the neighbouring islands were brought together. Despite its recent founding, the village boasts a rich past deeply rooted in the land, revealing evidence of Maritime Archaic Indigenous presence alongside the remains of a French trading post from the 18th century. Surrounded by rushing rivers, sandy beaches and sheltered archipelagos, Chevery is a peaceful, invigorating stop shaped by the northern way of life.
