6 Ways to Get to YQB

07 sep

Wondering how to get to Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB)? We’ve got you! Here’s a guide of your options for getting to and from YQB.

1. Drive yourself and park in one of our parking areas

YQB has two long-stay parking areas near the terminal: the Écono parking and the Proxi parking. You can check the rates and even prepay for your parking on our website.

Écono parking

The Écono outdoor parking lot, located within walking distance of the terminal, is the most cost-effective option. Once you park, you can get to the terminal by following the pedestrian walkway.

Prepay will allow you to park your vehicle at advantageous rates.

Proxi parking

After parking in the Proxi parking you can get to the terminal directly using the footbridge on the second floor. The walk should only take 2–7 minutes. Four charging stations are available on level 1 of the parking garage.

Save big by prepaying for your parking in the multi-level parking!

2. Ask someone you know

Ask someone to drop you off or drive you home. It’s a simple, hassle-free option.

Waiting Area

Your companion can take advantage of our free Waiting Area for vehicles, for up to 60 minutes. This free parking area for drivers is located at the intersection of 6th rue de l’Aéroport and Rue Principale. The entrance to the Waiting Area is on 6th rue de l'Aéroport.

There are also spaces for immediate pick-up or drop-off right in front of the terminal. If you’re being picked up, simply inform your companion when you’re ready and tell them the number on the column closest to you.

Short-Term Parking

Your companion can also take advantage of our new Short-term Parking area at the foot of the control tower and in front of the terminal. This is a great option for those who want to take the time to accompany their family to the terminal.

3. Take a Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) bus

RTC routes 76 and 80 run between Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport and Sainte-Foy and downtown Québec City, respectively. An RTC ticket vending machine is available near the information counter in the terminal. Regular rates apply. The machine accepts Visa, Mastercard, Interac Flash, Apple Pay, and Android Pay. You can also purchase your tickets on the RTC Nomade Paiement mobile app.

Visit their website to learn more: https://www.rtcquebec.ca/en/.

4. Rent a vehicle

Several rental agencies have counters at the airport, in the lobby of the administrative building. Choose a vehicle in advance to cut down on your wait. When you head back to YQB, make sure you leave enough time to return your vehicle! Parking instructions for rental vehicles are clearly marked upon arrival at the airport. Visit our website to learn more about renting vehicles.

5. Book a taxi or limousine

You can reserve your ride in advance by calling one of the companies that serve YQB. Booking ahead will help avoid unpleasant surprises on the day of your trip.

When you return from your trip, the taxi line is located just outside of the international arrivals area of the terminal.

6. Use a ride-sharing service

Uber is available at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport. Download their mobile apps to book your ride.
