Gaëtan Gagné, LLIF. C. Dir. ASC
President and Chief Executive Officer
Seasoned professional, Mr. Gagné is President and Chief Executive Officer of Aéroport de Québec inc. since February 2010, the company operating the Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport since its privatization in 2000.
In past years, he held the position of Chair of the Board of l’Entraide Assurance where he was also President & CEO from 1989 to 2009. Throughout his career, he was also an educator, as well as an advisor to manufacturing and service companies through his own consulting firm.
From 1997 to 2010, he sat on the Quebec City Airport Board of Directors to be nominated Chair of the Board and President of the Executive Committee in 2001. Under his leadership, the airport has initiated a capital investment project of more than 100M$, and continues to set records on several fronts, including reaching a record number of passengers, six years ahead of initial forecasts. In 2010, upon the Board members suggestions, he took on the challenge of President and CEO with a clear mandate to revamp the organizational chart to strengthen management and sustain growth, to rally the two governments and the business community behind new development projects while maintaining sound management, to ensure growth, as well as long-term sustainability of the organization.
Mr. Gagné holds a Fellow of the LIMRA Leadership Institute (Life Insurance and Marketing Association), as well as a title of Chartered Director granted by a joint venture of the McMaster University and Conference Board of Canada. He is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), as well as of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors, of the World Future Society and of Équipe Québec, a group of business people mandated to evaluate the state of sports infrastructure of the National Capital region. Finally, in February 2009, he was named Honorary Colonel of the 35th Canadian Service Battalion of the National Defence of the Canadian Forces.
François Bilodeau, CA
Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer
François Bilodeau, CA, has been Vice-President of Finances and Administration and Chief Financial Officer since 2010. He has wide-ranging experience in the areas of strategy, planning, as well as financial and human resources.
Mr. Bilodeau has held upper management positions in the finance and real estate industry for prestigious companies such as SSQ Groupe financier and Les Nordiques de Québec.
Richard Girard
Manager, Customer experience
Richard Girard has been Manager, Client Experience, since 2008. In 2010, his responsibilities were expanded to include business development and the role of spokesperson for Aéroport de Québec inc.
Mr. Girard comes from the journalistic/communications industry. His broad experience in customer service is the result of many years in the tourism, hotel, and restaurant industry. He held various management positions at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and Château Frontenac.
Line Magnan
Executive Assistant
Line Magnan is the Administrative Assistant to the President and Chief Executive Officer. She joined Aéroport de Québec inc. in 2009.
Ms. Magnan has more than twenty years of experience as an executive administrative assistant. Her role also includes communications and marketing responsibilities. She is currently working toward a university certificate in organizational communication.
Sylvain Blais, CA
Director, Finance and Administration
Sylvain Blais has been Director of Finance and Administration, Aéroport de Québec inc., since 2010.
Mr. Blais is a member of the Ordre des comptables agrées and has been involved in several real estate ventures including the Lévis Centre des congrès et d’expositions and Lévis’ Sheraton FourPoints hotel. Blais has over 25 years of accounting experience.
Me Sophie Lefrançois
Corporate Secretary
Sophie Lefrançois was named to the position of Corporate Secretary, Aéroport de Québec inc., in 2009. She is a member of the Québec Bar. She works for the Chairman of the Board, Committee Presidents, and the President and CEO to help them achieve the company’s corporate objective.
Before joining the airport, Ms. Lefrançois held similar positions with public companies. She has been a teacher in Contract Law and Business Law at Laval University since 2004.
Jean-Nil Proulx, Adm. A., Imm.
Director, Real Estate Management & Project Director
Jean-Nil Proulx has been Director of Property Management and Project Manager, Aéroport de Québec inc., since July 4, 2006. He was previously Director of Facility Maintenance, Information Technology and Communications (ITC).
After studying in computer programming, Proulx went into business management at Laval University. He is a member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec. He also has an auditor certificate in safe business management. Mr. Proulx has been a member of several professional associations including BOMA, where he sat on the Board of Directors and created the Québec chapter.
He acquired his experience in real estate, construction and management, working for major companies such as SITQ and Société du Centre des congrès de Québec.
Mr. Proulx manages a team of engineers and infrastructure specialists dedicated to facility maintenance at Aéroport de Québec inc. and major infrastructure improvement projects initiated by the company in 2005.
Jimmy Gagné
Director, Operations
Jimmy Gagné has been Director of Operations, Aéroport de Québec inc., since 2006. He has held management positions at Bagotville, Sept-Îles, and 7 other airports in Northern Québec and the Lower North-Shore, where he acquired extensive knowledge of the aviation industry. He also has a private pilot licence.
Mr. Gagné manages a team of nearly seventy-five employees dedicated to safety, security, the environment, client experience, fire protection and Aéroport international Jean-Lesage general operations. He has a diploma in telecommunications and is working toward a bachelors’ degree in business administration.
