Environmental Policy
In an effort to fulfill its social responsibilities, protect the environment and respect available resources, Aéroport de Québec is committed to sustainable development and makes it a key component of its activities.
In order to improve its environmental performance, Aéroport de Québec is committed to :
Respect environmental laws and rules and encourage practices that contribute to the sustainable development of its operation;
Integrate environmental preoccupations into operational, financial, health and safety aspects and decision-making processes pertaining to all sectors of activity;
Take preventive and corrective actions in order to mitigate the environmental repercussions of its activities, including its new construction and the future projects it wishes to undertake;
Avoid significant impacts on the environment by limiting its resource consumption as well as air, water and soil pollution by taking an integrated territory management approach that mitigates impacts on the flora and fauna;
Plan its development with respect for the neighborhood, being specificallycareful as to the noise caused by its activities;
Inform and raise awareness of Directors, managers and all airport staff of the importance of protecting the environment while performing their duties;
Encourage tenants, clients and suppliers to take preventive action in accordance with this environmental policy, and to respect all laws, rules and regulations as far as the environment is concerned;
Evaluate on a regular basis its environmental performance and communicate its results to the relevant parties.
Environment Committee
Committee’s Mandate
- To ensure that the environmental management system is implemented and maintained according to the airport’s environment policy and the environmental management guidebook.
- To review the environmental management system with the Board of Directors once a year and amend/improve it as needed.
- To submit an annual environmental management program (projects) to the Board of Directors.
- To ensure that the management system is audited once a year and to present the results to the Board of Directors.
- To report on environmental issues at each meeting of the Board of Directors.

Noise Management Committee
Committee’s Mandate
To evaluate the various aspects of aircraft noise management, from complaints to new environmental requirements as well as any other related matter; to evaluate problems and submit recommendations to Aéroport de Québec inc.
