Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA)

In an effort to ensure that airport safety standards are maintained and respected, Aéroport de Québec has worked closely with the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) since its creation on a number of projects such as the development of operational space and the installation of specialized equipment to increase passenger security.

CATSA is a crown corporation which has been operating since April 1st, 2002. It provides consistent and effective screening services across Canadian airports, including Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport.

Aéroport de Québec is committed to maintaining high security standards everywhere in the airport. To this end, we keep up-to-date on safety measures, ensure that regulations are respected and support CATSA (e.g. the implementation of explosive detect systems).

Also, Aéroport de Québec works closely with CATSA in the area of customer service to ensure quality services and provide travellers with an enjoyable airport experience.

To ensure the security of passengers, CATSA has mandated Kolossal, a security agency responsible for pre-boarding and baggage screening.
