Committees

The Board of Directors relies on four active committees dealing with administrative, financial, environmental and human resources management:
-The executive committee
-The audit committee
-The environment committee
-The human resources committee

The committees act according to the Board of Directors’ decisions and ensure that the organization fulfills its legal and fiscal obligations in its day-to-day activities.

A community advisory board, which contributes to the development of various projects to improve air services and airport infrastructure, also supports the Board of Directors. The advisory board membership was revised in 2005 in order to ensure regional representation.

Passenger traffic

Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport is part of the National Airport System (NAS). This network includes 26 airports which have been transferred and are deemed essential to the Canadian network of air transportation. RNA airports process about 94% of all passenger traffic in Canada. Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport is located in the provincial capital. In 2007 more than 877,000 passengers passed through the gates at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, up 12% from 2006. Growth was particularly strong for the transboder and international sectors, which saw increases of 17% and 27%, respectively, over last year. These highly significant achievements promote Québec City's international accessibility and visibility.
